Anglish is a form of modern english, but with no or less loanwords (notably, a large amount of modern english words come from latin or french); and, on the other hand, many old english words that didn't make it into modern english are transformed as if they did, in order to be used again. In addition, it is not uncommon for anglish texts to readopt older characters like the "þ" and "ð" to replace "th" respectively in unvoiced and voiced places. This cool youtube channel has a bunch of great content on Anglish.
An idea I had was to make a version of japanese without chinese pronunciations; a name for such a language could be 大和語 (Yamatogata). idea apparently has been used as the source of a conlang for the japanese space opera franchise Crest of the Stars. Perhaps an alternate writing system as well? There are some on this page, but i rember coming across a PDF for a proposal of a writing system to replace just kanji, while kana would maintain its use; although i can't find it now.
